The AML-3 Sound Velocity Profiler (6000m / 1000 dBar) is a rugged, high-performance instrument designed for accurate sound velocity profiling in deep ocean environments. Purpose-built for hydrographic, oceanographic, and offshore energy applications, this profiler supports precise sonar correction and acoustic positioning at extreme depths.
Engineered by AML Oceanographic, the AML-3 SVP 6000m model incorporates a 1000 dBar pressure sensor, enabling high-resolution depth measurement down to 6000 meters. Its modular design features Xchange™ field-swappable sensors, allowing users to easily replace or calibrate sensors such as sound velocity, temperature, pressure, conductivity, or turbidity—all without returning the instrument to the manufacturer. This plug-and-play capability maximizes field uptime and reduces project delays.
Built with a corrosion-resistant titanium housing, the AML-3 6000m is highly durable in deep-sea conditions and compatible with ROVs, deep-tow systems, and over-the-side winch deployments. Its compact size and flexible data interface (USB and serial) make it ideal for integration into a wide range of subsea platforms.
